CrossFit combines strength, endurance and coordination in high-intensity workouts. We meet an athlete who trains every day. She’s seen fast progress, and says the group helps keep her motivated. But trainers and a sports medicine specialist say this demanding workout isn’t for everyone. It places heavy demands on the entire body and is generally better suited to people with some training experience. Good coaching and proper technique are essential to reduce the risk of injuries, especially to the shoulders and knees.
