Moscow pounded Kyiv overnight with its largest ballistic missile attack since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine

Ukraine said it downed 18 of the 41 missiles as the strikes sparked fires in five districts of the capital. At least one person was killed.

Russia has launched several large-scale attacks in recent weeks as Ukraine faces a shortage of Patriot air defense missiles, which are its most effective way of intercepting Russia’s ballistic missiles.
