After a van ploughed into a celebrating CSD crowd in Berlin Saturday evening, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called on the nation to avoid division and intimidation.

Chancellor Friedrich Merz urged Germany to avoid division and intimidation in the wake of Saturday’s fatal Berlin Pride attack. One person was killed and many others were wounded after the suspect, who remains at large, rammed a van into a crowd several hundred meters from the closing party and then stabbed others with a machete.
