The FC Robo football academy in Lagos, Nigeria, has produced five players in the current women’s national team that is about to compete in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
One of them is superstar Asisat Oshoala, a striker who has played in England, Spain and Saudi Arabia. She still trains at FC Robo when she returns to Nigeria.
“It’s good to be around these girls sometimes so that they know that, if they put their mind to it, there’s really nothing out there to stop them,” Oshoala told DW.
