A floating ‘island’ in a reservoir in British Columbia has turned up about 20 miles from where it was last spotted, after seeming to vanish in July.

The organisation who manages the reservoir where it was found says at first it thought the discovery was a “hoax”.

BBC Verify has used satellite imagery to track its journey and looked into why it travelled so far – as Jake Horton reports.
