Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited an air base in North Bay, Ontario, where he met Ukrainian military pilots training in Canada and highlighted growing defense cooperation between Kyiv and Ottawa.
In an exclusive interview with DW, Zelenskyy stressed the urgent need for stronger air defense, including interceptor missiles and Patriot systems. During talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, the two leaders signed defense agreements, while Canada pledged further military support as Ukraine braces forcontinued Russian attacks and a challenging winter.
