“NAZA,” a documentary by the Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, has drawn international attention after winning the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and receiving a record-breaking standing ovation.
The film features anonymous testimonies from Israeli soldiers and intelligence officers who detail the systematic killings of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The filmmakers say the documentary is based on firsthand accounts and extensive investigative reporting. However, Israel‘s military rejects the accounts and disputes the film’s portrayal of its operations.
The documentary has also sparked a political backlash in Israel, highlighting deep divisions over the war and accountability.
