‘I was proud of myself’: D-Day veteran tells his story

Harvey Segal spoke with DW’s Max Hofmann at the commemoration for the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019. Segal was just 19 years old when he found himself in a foxhole on Omaha Beach being shelled by German forces.
