A warehouse fire that broke out in Boyle Heights on 17 June continues to burn, though the Los Angeles Fire Department says crews are making “significant progress” in containing the blaze. The warehouse fire is producing smoke and impacting air quality throughout the region, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District. California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have declared a state of emergency.
