For months now, Ukraine has been sending long-range drones and missiles to attack oil facilities deep inside Russia. Almost daily, there are reports of another oil depot, refinery, or fuel loading terminal being hit.
The consequences are now being felt across the country: a growing fuel crisis that is affecting entire regions. For the first time since the start of the full-scale war in 2022, millions of Russians appear to be experiencing the impact of the conflict in their own daily lives — simply because they can no longer rely on having enough fuel to keep their cars moving.
