After years of isolation from the United States and other nations, Venezuela‘s new leadership has welcomed renewed foreign investment. Venezuelans have long struggled with crumbling infrastructure, especially outside the capital, Caracas. Ahead of June’s devastating earthquakes, DW traveled to the Venezuelan countryside to hear how residents were coping.
