Berlin cancels CSD Pride parade after police incident

The parade began on Saturday but was scheduled to resume for a second day on Sunday.

Berlin’s annual Pride event, Christopher Street Day (CSD) has been cancelled after a police incident involving several injured people.

The main parade had been scheduled to run over to days for the first time this year, beginning on Saturday and wrapping up on Sunday.

Police have asked people to avoid the area around Tiergarten saying a “major operation” was underway in the area.
