Greek firefighters are battling fires whipped up by strong winds near Porto Germeno, 65 kilometers (40 miles) northwest of Athens. The gale-force winds are keeping water bombers and helicopters grounded.

It’s the latest wildfire emergency in an infernal summer for Europe.
