The Russian drone strike on what appears to have been a weapons depot caused a “secondary detonation” which damaged dozens of residential buildings close to the site, including a care home for elderly and disabled people.
Ukrainian prosecutors have opened an investigation into why explosive weapons were being stored so close to people’s homes.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it “absolutely unacceptable,” and said he expected details of the probe to be made public soon.
