Nepal has begun mass burials of hundreds of unidentified flood victims, whose bodies were swept away by the torrent that devastated the Himalayan region last Wednesday.
Authorities are photographing the bodies and collecting DNA samples in the hope that families may still be able to identify relatives after they are laid to rest. After burying more than 100 unidentified bodies on Saturday, authorities dug additional graves for hundreds more.
Thousands are still missing and concerns are growing about the spread of disease. DW correspondent Adil Bhat met with people visiting hospitals and morgues, searching for news of their loved ones.
