‘Cockroach’ protests Delhi: Party says Abhijit Dipke and Saurabh Das detained ahead of march

Tens of thousands of security personnel have been deployed after authorities refused permission for the demonstration to take place in the Indian capital.

Over the past few days, the CJP, opposition parties and student activists have held several protests across India – including in capital Delhi. Although organised separately, the protesters had a common demand: the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
