The briefest White House briefing the BBC’s North America editor Sarah Smith has ever seen happened when new US press secretary Katie Zacharia took questions from only three journalists.

She gave reporters some big news on Kimberly Guilfoyle being asked to resign as the US ambassador to Greece.

But couldn’t answer the question on whether the US will stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine. And otherwise spent more time telling reporters how she planned to balance her family life with her new job.
