Ahead of planned talks in Abu Dhabi involving Ukraine, Russia and the United States, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze told DW that any agreement is welcome if it leads to lasting peace and is accepted by Ukraine. She backed US and EU diplomatic efforts but argued that stronger pressure on Russia, including sanctions, remains necessary. Braze said the European Union should have a role in negotiations, warned of ongoing Russian drone, cyber- and information warfare , and stressed that continued support for Ukraine is vital for EU and trans-Atlantic security.
