Trump’s G7 speech outlines framework deal to end US-Iran war

The leaders of Iran and the United States have signed a memorandum of understanding that, for now, ends the conflict between them. US President Donald Trump signed the document in Versailles, where he was dining with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The US and Iran have signed a “memorandum of understanding” aimed at ending their conflict, with Donald Trump signing the deal in Versailles and Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian following suit.

Trump defended the framework at the G7, warning of military consequences if Iran fails to comply, while signaling possible sanctions relief and the return of frozen assets. He also pointed to unresolved issues, including ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
