LONDON, June 22 : The Bank of England published its final policy and draft rules for stablecoins on Monday, easing some proposals set out for industry consultation last year.
The BoE scrapped plans to cap individual holdings, opting instead to limit total issuance per stablecoin, initially set at £40 billion ($52.84 billion).
The central bank also slightly relaxed its proposals on backing assets and said it plans to finalise the rules by the end of the year.
