Morocco’s young generation is deeply divided over its future. While 20-year-old Youssef Arouii has lost faith in politics and dreams of reaching Europe after repeated migration attempts, economics student Doaa Bourhaba is campaigning as Morocco’s youngest parliamentary candidate.
Despite years of economic growth and major state investments, many young Moroccans feel excluded from progress, fueling frustration, protests and political disengagement. DW reporters Rim Najmi and Jan-Philipp Scholz meet two young Moroccans who have chosen very different paths.
