Protests in Albania‘s capital Tirana have escalated into one of the country’s largest movements since the fall of communism in 1991.
Sparked by opposition to a planned Trump-linked luxury resort, demonstrators now denounce corruption, rising inequality and the privatization of public spaces.
Protesters are calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation and a complete overhaul of the political system, blaming both government and opposition for failing ordinary citizens.
