Men are increasingly turning to artificial hair systems to deal with hair loss. Ben Salgut, 39, has been wearing a custom hairpiece for years to cover thinning areas. At first, he worried about how others would react, but he says most people did not even notice.
According to a London hair clinic, demand for artificial hairpieces has risen by 40 to 45% over the past two years. The treatment, carried out about once a month, is time-consuming and costly. For Salgut, however, the result is worth it: he says the hair system has given his confidence a significant boost.
