Unix AI, which was founded in 2024, has also expanded dramatically since the beginning of this year into markets like Singapore and India in services such as hotel cleaning and retail, Yang noted. “We are quite optimistic [about] the our robots we are currently selling overseas,” he added. More than 50% of the company’s overall orders come from the renewal and repurchasing from clients for their original products, according to Yang. The impact of current U.S. chip export restrictions will be limited, Yang said, as edge computing power used for robots “is not under restriction for now.” Edge computing involves processing and storing data close to where it’s created.
