EU could pump green hydrogen through natural gas pipelines

Since 2022, the European Union has been pushing ahead with the expansion of a hydrogen transport network. One strategy includes building new pipelines and converting existing natural gas pipelines to carry hydrogen.

Germany is betting on green hydrogen to power its clean energy transition, with companies converting existing natural gas pipelines into a future hydrogen network.
