Germany investigates explosive drone at airport

A drone carrying explosives was found at Germany’s Leipzig/Halle Airport, a major international freight hub. The planes that regularly use it include Ukrainian Antonov transport aircraft.

The explosives-laden drone that was found at an airport in eastern Germany  is now being treated as a potential threat from overseas, according to Germany’s interior minister. While investigators work to uncover the device’s origin, wider discussion over Germany’s air defense is already underway.
