LivestreamMenuPalantir Technologies is likely to rally as large businesses increasingly embrace artificial intelligence to boost returns, according to JPMorgan. The investment bank initiated research coverage of the software stock with an overweight rating and a $262 12-month price target, 33% above the Wednesday close. Palantir is scheduled to report third-quarter results post-market on Monday Nov. 2. “Enterprise focus is shifting toward the AI value creation that PLTR provides,” analyst Brian Essex said Thursday in a note to clients. “The company … [has] uniquely profitable hyper-growth fundamentals, with potential for substantial disruptive upside within its primary market segments.” Essex noted that businesses are increasingly adopting technology from Palantir in order to get better returns on their AI investments. “Palantir is already delivering ROI by leveraging its platform to fundamentally transform the business operations of its customers, and growth is accelerating,” Essex wrote. The analyst added that Palantir focuses on AI sovereignty, which gives clients control of the entire artificial intelligence stack. That makes the company’s products and services popular with large enterprises as well as government clients, which should support future market share growth, Essex said. “Demand for AI Sovereignty is accelerating,” JPMorgan said. “Palantir enables Enterprise and Government organizations to secure and own their means of production and services, or their alpha and value creation.” JPMorgan’s call matches the rest of Wall Street, where 26 of 35 analysts rate Palantir a buy or strong buy, LSEG data shows. Palantir shares have trailed the S & P 500 so far in 2026, but have soared 59% in the past three months, according to FactSet data.Read More
