Nepalese rescue teams and experts from India and China are searching for hundreds of workers trapped in hydropower tunnels, after a glacier collapse on August 26 triggered catastrophic floods and mudslides.

Rescuers are using controlled blasts and excavators to clear water and mud.

The disaster has highlighted the vulnerability of hydropowerinfrastructure in the Himalayas, a region scientists say is warming particularly rapidly.
