When conflict and war strike, who helps victims rebuild their lives?
The Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) at the International Criminal Court was established alongside the court. It aims to realize victims’ right to reparations through restitution, compensation, and rehabilitation. Its initiatives have supported around 100,000 affected people.
Its programs operate in Uganda, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where prolonged conflict has left a devastating legacy. Additional TFV programs in Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Kenya and Georgia are planned.
