An F-16 military fighter jet crashed and burst into flames during a training exercise in Michigan on Thursday afternoon, state police reported.
The pilot was the only person onboard the aircraft and managed to eject before the crash. They are recovering in hospital and are in a stable condition, police said.
No one on the ground was injured.
