Our feet carry us through life, yet we often pay little attention to them until problems arise. What can help when foot pain is caused by bunions, toe deformities or splayfoot? In this episode of In Good Shape, we visit a unique foot school where patients learn exercises designed to strengthen their feet and improve alignment. Reporter Leah Nlemibe also takes on an extreme challenge: a 100-kilometer hike through Germany’s Weser Uplands. Along the way, she discovers what such an endurance event can do to the body and feet. Plus: walking football, a fast-growing sport that offers fitness benefits with a lower risk of injury than traditional football.
