BBC at New Jersey ICE detention centre as curfew enforced
For more than a week, protests have been taking place in New Jersey over the conditions at a migrant detention camp – the latest flashpoint over President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
The situation reached a boiling point after family members of some the detainees alleged inhumane conditions inside the privately run Delaney Hall.
The Department of Homeland Security deny the allegations and accuse protesters of engaging in violent behaviour.
BBC correspondent Nada Tawfik reports from the protest outside Delaney Hall detention centre in Newark, New Jersey.
