Hundreds gathered again on Tuesday at the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) protest site at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, a day after police cracked down on demonstrators trying to march to parliament.
Police had used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowds, alleging they had turned violent and unruly.
The government has not responded to the CJP’s demands, including the resignation of India’s education minister. But on Monday, a senior federal minister met with members of the CJP and heard their demands.
