Deadly flash floods and mudslides along the Tibet-Nepal border have swept away homes, vehicles and infrastructure, leaving multiple people dead and many more missing. Officials believe the disaster may have been triggered when an earthquake caused ice and rock to crash into the Bhote Koshi River upstream. Rescue teams have to contend with damaged roads, bridges and communication networks as they search for survivors.
