If you walk down Immermannstrasse in Düsseldorf, you might think you’ve been transported to Japan. The city’s “Little Tokyo” neighborhood, home to the third-largest Japanese community in Europe, is lined with Japanese supermarkets, ramen shops, bakeries and a book store that is older than the Internet.

Takagi Books & More and its general manager, Yurie Takagie, connect people with her parents’ home country.
