GPU racks remain the large majority of AI-system revenue at major manufacturers, while suppliers continue expanding capacity around NVIDIA platforms.” KeyBanc upgrades Sweetgreen to overweight from sector weight KeyBanc sees a turnaround. “We are upgrading shares of SG from Sector Weight to Overweight, now with a DCF-based price target of $9. While shares have been under significant pressure over the past year-plus, we view SG as among the more compelling turnaround opportunities across our restaurants coverage.” Barclays initiates JBT Marel at buy Barclays says the current entry point is too attractive to ignore. ” JBTM’s integration story hit a Q2 speed bump, but strong orders, a > $1.5bn backlog, recurring revenue, and faster- than-expected deleveraging support the long-term thesis.” Bank of America reiterates Apple as buy Bank of America says it’s bullish ahead of Apple’s iPhone event on Wednesday. “Apple has scheduled its ‘Surprise and shine’ event for Wednesday Sep 9th at 1PM ET. In our opinion, the key investor focus will be: 1) Apple’s first foldable iPhone, 2) potentially meaningful price increases across the Pro line, and 3) the decision to shift the lower- priced iPhone 18 models to spring 2027.” UBS upgrades Lockheed Martin to buy from neutral UBS says it sees earnings growth. “We upgrade LMT to Buy from Neutral, with 26% upside to our 12mo $674 price target (prior $581).” Read more. Morgan Stanley upgrades Synopsys to overweight from neutral The firm said in its upgrade of Synopsys that it’s an AI beneficiary. “While we are yet to see a return to teens% EDA [electronic design automation] growth, we think the transition to physical AI will be supportive of this.” Morgan Stanley initiates PDF Solutions as overweight Morgan Stanley says it sees margin expansion. “PDFS offers differentiated exposure to semis manufacturing, with structural complexity, a predominantly recurring revenue base and emerging AI monetisation supporting durable growth and margin expansion.” RBC initiates Shake Shack at outperform RBC says the burger chain is at an “inflection point.” “We initiate coverage of Shake Shack (SHAK) at Outperform with an $89 PT.” Read more. Northland upgrades Intel to outperform from market perform Northland says the company is finally in the midst of a turnaround. ” Intel has made material progress turning around the business. There is also a shortage of server CPUs benefiting the Company.” JPMorgan upgrades Cenovus Energy to overweight from neutral JPMorgan sees “margin strength.” “Our CVE upgrade reflects an attractive relative valuation and asset footprint that can take full advantage of crude oil and refining margin strength, with oil sands production running ahead of plan given strength at Christina Lake, Foster Creek and Sunrise.” Cantor Fitzgerald initiates Londian Wason New Energy Tech at overweight Cantor sees a “potential re-rating.” “Londian Wason is the world’s largest supplier of lithium-ion battery copper foil, which serves as the anode current collector in every lithium-ion cell.” Citigroup initiates UiPath as buy Citi sees “longer-term reacceleration” for the software company “We initiate coverage on UiPath with a Buy/HR rating and $23 target price as we believe the company is evolving from a RPA [Robotic Process Automation] into a control plane for enterprise AI.” Citigroup initiates Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals as buy Citi says the shares are compelling. “We are initiating coverage o f Arrowhead Pharma ( ARWR) at Buy/HR with a target price of $108.” UBS upgrades EchoStar to buy from neutral UBS likes the company’s stake in SpaceX. “We are resuming coverage with a $150 price target and upgrading to Buy. After selling 75-80% of its spectrum portfolio for ~$43B, Echostar has pivoted from a wireless operator into an investment company. Echostar’s expected 2% stake in SpaceX (~262M shares) represents ~$39B in value…” Pivotal initiates SpaceX at buy Pivotal says the stock has plenty more room to run. “A successful investment case in SpaceX at the current ~$2 trillion EV rests almost entirely on a single admittedly massive engineering bottleneck: Starship reusability.” Barclays upgrades Sensata Technologies to overweight from equal weight Barclays says buy the dip in Sensata shares. “Given the sharp pullback in the share price we upgrade our rating to Overweight (prior EW) given potential 30% upside to our $55 price target.” Citigroup upgrades Old Dominion and C.H. Robinson to buy from neutral Citi says both stocks have a “reasonable price.” “We upgrade ODFL and CHRW to Buy following their recent pull-backs, as both names represent the leaders in their respective sub-sectors, offering an opportunity to buy quality at a reasonable price.” Morgan Stanley upgrades Flagstar Bank to overweight from equal weight Morgan Stanley says the stock is compelling. ” Flagstar is the strongest profitability improvement story within the Midcap Banks trading at an attractive valuation.” TD Cowen upgrades Dauch to buy from hold TD Cowen says buy the dip in the auto component supplier. “Our upgrade reflects an improving risk/reward post YTD underperformance, anchored by Dauch ‘s more ideal exposures in the current environment (higher NA, self-help) and upcoming catalysts.” Morgan Stanley downgrades Peloton to underweight from equal weight Morgan Stanley sees too many negative catalysts. “With structural headwinds as consumers shift towards strength and gyms, we expect pressure on PTON’s sub base to be durable. Upgrading to OW and Top Pick; $304 PT implies 27% upside.” Freedom Capital Markets initiates TeraWulf at outperform The firm says shares are compelling. “Although we have a more sober view on when and how aggressively to invest in WULF, our analysis arrives at a defensible floor of ~$14 per share.” William Blair upgrades FactSet to outperform from market perform William Blair says the AI risk is overdone. “We are upgrading FactSet shares to an Outperform rating based on the following: We believe perceived AI disruption risk is overstated.” Rothschild & Co Redburn initiates Guardant Health at buy The firm likes the biotech company’s “exposure to the screening market.” “We launch coverage of Guardant Health, with a Buy rating, based on its exposure to the screening market…” Deutsche Bank reiterates Tesla as buy Deutsche says Tesla’s cybercab event gave it even more confidence. “Coming out of the Cybercab event last week, we acquire more confidence on the hardware side as the vehicle itself appears ready for public deployment, incorporating various novel design/engineering decisions.” Raymond James upgrades Airbnb to outperform from market perform The firm sees double digit growth. “We upgrade Airbnb to Outperform, as our eight-part deep dive leaves us more convinced in the durability of low-double-digit night growth with a bull case pointing to low-teens potential.”Read More
