A missile attack in Riyadh has killed 12 people and injured more than 300 in one of the deadliest attacks on the Saudi capital in years. Saudi Arabia has blamed the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen, although the group has not formally claimed responsibility.

The attack, the third on the airport in a week, has prompted the suspension of airport operations and the rerouting of international flights. The Houthis have since renewed warnings to airlines and travelers to avoid Saudi airspace and airports as fighting between the group and Saudi-backed forces escalates.

US President Donald Trump has said Washington is considering whether to join a Saudi military response.
