Four ships have been hit by drones in the Black Sea off the coast of Bulgaria this month. The European Council has officially blamed Russia.

The attacks come in the final stages of Bulgaria’s presidential election campaign. Criticism of the frontrunner, President Iliana Yotova, is mounting, with people accusing her of not being critical enough of the Kremlin.

Could the fallout from the drone attacks determine the outcome of the election on October 25?
