Iran war enters perilous new phase, with 2 US troops dead

The US military has announced its first troop deaths from direct Iranian fire since the first days of the war, with two killed and another missing in an attack on a base in Jordan. What could this mean for the US?

Just before the US military announced that two service members had been killed in Jordan on Saturday, Tehran warned of “unforgettable lessons” if the United States kept attacking Iran.

Speaking with DW, Robin Wright, a long-time contributor to The New Yorker, said US President Donald Trump will pay a price at the midterm elections if he doesn’t find a way out of the war by September.
