A record number of Israelis living abroad could travel home to vote in Israel’s upcoming election.

Unlike diplomats and official envoys, most Israeli citizens cannot vote remotely.

The Fly&Vote initiative expects 53,000 people to make the journey, potentially influencing up to two parliamentary seats. Netanyahu’s Likud party has challenged the initiative, while some Israelis living abroad believe their vote could determine Israel’s democratic future.
