Native American tribes commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Greasy Grass, commonly known as the Battle of Little Bighorn. The June 1876 victory saw Indigenous warriors unite to defeat US Lt Col George Armstrong Custer and more than 200 of his soldiers.

The day is marked through song, dance, horse racing and re-enactments.
