PFAS are considered “forever chemicals” that can persist indefinitely and enter the human body via water and food. Studies indicate they pose possible health risks. A research team in Stuttgart is developing a plasma-based method that breaks down PFAS molecules and cleans contaminated water. Initial lab tests are promising and could be used soon in wastewater plants. We also look at innovative recycling for solar panels and wind turbine materials, and check out mass flights in Maybugs.
