A Russian ballistic missile strike hit a residential area of Kyiv, killing at least two people and injuring at least 10 others. Residents described scenes of destruction and narrow escapes as buildings were damaged and windows shattered across the neighborhood.

The attack came shortly after a visit by US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Their diplomatic efforts failed to produce progress toward a ceasefire, leaving many Kyiv residents fearing more attacks and hoping they can reach shelter in time.
