Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities have caused more civilian casualties as air defenses face interceptor shortages. In Kharkiv, a strike ripped through an apartment building, destroying four upper floors and trapping residents under the rubble. In Odesa, missile attacks hit a historic residential building, injuring several people.
Russia also reported deaths from Ukrainian drone attacks in Belgorod. The strikes came as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Serbia, where he warned of further Russian mobilization efforts and said Ukraine’s new ballistic missile could be deployed later this year.
