The UN‘s International Organization for Migration (IOM) says between 100,000 to 300,000 Nepalis move to India each year.
There is no official count of how many people migrate annually, as India and Nepal have shared an open border since 1950.
The UN’s crime agency, the UNODC, estimates that in South Asia alone, human trafficking generates $52 billion in annual profits.
