Swiss police on Monday arrested a suspect in the weekend shooting at a rave in the Swiss town of Aarau, where a woman was killed and several others were injured.
Local police had said the incident could have been an act of terrorism, but that other motives were also being considered.
What do we know about the arrest made?
“Investigations into the exact circumstances of the incident, as well as its background and possible motive, are currently underway. At this stage, it is assumed that a single perpetrator was involved,” police in the canton of Aargau said in a statement.
Police added that the suspect was arrested on “strong suspicion” of being behind the attack.
At least five others were injured in the attack, some seriously.
Investigators found two kinds of cartridges at the scene, indicating the presence of a pistol and a large weapon, possibly an assault rifle.
