Thousands of foreign nationals are leaving South Africa through the Musina repatriation center near the Zimbabwe border amid growing fears of xenophobic violence.

Many say threats and intimidation by anti-immigrant groups have left them feeling unsafe.

South African authorities say more than 50,000 undocumented migrants were repatriated in the past month.

Aid organizations are supporting families at the overcrowded camp as officials process travel documents for their return journeys, mainly to Zimbabwe and Malawi.
