As Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine enters its fourth year, the war continues with no clear end in sight. Ukraine‘s economy is under strain, with many businesses facing labor shortages as Ukrainians are mobilized or leave the country.

Against this backdrop, some firms are turning to foreign workers. While their numbers remain relatively small, the issue — and the narratives around it — are fueling debate over migration and the wartime economy.
