The UN Human Rights Office has condemned Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip.
In a recent report, it said that dozens of Palestinians have been killed or injured in the past days. Gaza’s civil defense agency and witnesses said Israeli strikes killed 12 people, including a family of six, in the Palestinian territory in one day alone. Despite a fragile ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which is considered a terrorist group by the US, the EU and others, violence in the Gaza Strip hasn’t stopped. Efforts to secure a lasting agreement to end the war have stalled.
