Many Bulgarian parents place great importance on raising their children to be strong, resilient individuals. After all, they want their children to be prepared for the challenges of today’s world. Bulgaria is one of the poorest countries in Europe. And that could actually be a bit to their advantage. For although conditions in Bulgaria are far from ideal, the children are surprisingly resilient. They cope with crises better than many of their peers in wealthier countries.
